The Youth 20 (Y20) Indonesia Summit 2022 has been officially held from July 17 to 24, 2022, in Jakarta and will be closed in Bandung, West Java.

There are four priority issues to be discussed, namely, Youth Employment, Digital Transformation, Sustainable and Liveable Planet, and Diversity and Inclusion.
Y20 is a forum for youth from all member countries of the G20 Presidency to gather, discuss, and exchange ideas on youth issues and produce policy recommendations to be submitted to G20 leaders.

It received a good response and appreciation from Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi to emphasize diversity and inclusion in all areas of discussion, including employment opportunities for young people and a sustainable planet.
Composed of young people who are agents of change, Y20 must be able to overcome various challenges and change the world for the better, think outside the box, and think of innovative solutions.
"In this context, youth must invest in issues that can have an impact on the future, such as health, digital transformation to the energy transition," she expressed, Tuesday (7/18).
She explained that it should also be an effective platform to pass leadership on to youth groups. Today's youth must be a source of solutions for the world to recover together and be better.
Even though it had not yet fully recovered from the pandemic, the world was deemed to be starting to be faced with new issues and challenges such as geopolitics, especially its impact on food and energy security.
"Indonesia believes that the G20 has a collective responsibility to overcome various global challenges by putting aside differences and working together based on good intentions to ensure that the G20 remains relevant," she explained.
She assessed that to tread a good future, Y20 must be able to advance the two roles of youth as agents of peace and future leaders.
“In a globalized and interconnected world, this can be done by fostering dialogue and building bridges," she added.
Y20 Indonesia Summit 2022 Co-Chair Michael Victor Sianipar uttered that Y20 is a special forum on the world stage. It was seen as an opportunity for the youth forum to directly communicate with world leaders.
Through this forum, young people could influence decisions and policy-making at the global level.
